The project utilizes electronic health data to study the long-term effects of COVID-19 and its vaccine on preschool children, an important topic at a public health level. Linking maternal and newborn records is essential to collect all the data needed in the analysis. In addition to observational study techniques, machine learning methods could be employed to link mother and offspring records in cases where deterministic record linkage is not feasible and to develop a clinical risk score.
